Yes, Dekkersvlei Wine Farm is open throughout the year.

While walk-ins are welcome when space allows, we recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time, especially for tours, private tastings, or larger groups.

Dekkersvlei produces a diverse range of wines, including Brut Rosé, Pinotage, Chenin Blanc, Shiraz, Coffee Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinotage Rosé, and White Pinotage.

Yes. All our wines are available for purchase at the tasting room, along with beautifully curated tasting boards and a selection of branded gifts.

Wine & Brandy Tastings

What tastings / tours does Dekkersvlei offer?

We offer three signature experiences: the Taste the Original wine tour, the Unique Pinotage Tasting Experience, and the Bespoke Brandy Experience.

It’s an immersive vineyard and cellar walk where guests can taste the world’s first White Pinotage at its birthplace, along with two additional wines.

Dekkersvlei offers the largest selection of Pinotages available for tasting. This premium tasting includes five styles: White, MCC, Rosé, Classic Red, and Coffee Pinotage.

This is a guided, barrel-to-glass tasting of Cape Potstill Brandy, aged 10, 15 and 18 years. Guests explore the distillery, learn about the copper potstill process, and enjoy small-batch brandy drawn straight from the barrel.

Yes. Premium upgrades and add-ons are available at an additional cost – please enquire directly at Dekkersvlei.

Absolutely. Our “Taste the Original” wine tours run in all seasons, and winter is a wonderful time to enjoy a cosy tasting experience.

Children are welcome on the farm, but alcohol tastings are strictly for guests aged 18 and over.

Can I buy food at Dekkersvlei?

Yes. Our deli offers a selection of snacks, drinks, and light bites.

Our deli offers a tasty selection of croissants (plain, chocolate, beef pastrami, or chicken mayo) along with rich chocolate brownies for a sweet treat. For light nibbles, choose from chips, biltong, chocolate, and nougat. We also have tasting boxes available for those wanting a little extra to enjoy during their visit.

Non-alcoholic: Coke, fruit juices, still and sparkling water, sparkling rooibos iced tea, Appletiser, Red Bull, and coffee.

Alcoholic: A selection of Dekkersvlei wines, local beers, and ciders.

Guests can purchase Dekkersvlei wines, cheese boxes, cooking aprons, cheese board and knife sets, wine carriers, wine openers, and branded caps and shirts.

Facilities

Is there parking available?

Yes. We offer convenient on-site parking just a short walk from the reception area.

Yes. Parking at Dekkersvlei is free of charge.

Yes. The deli is wheelchair accessible via a ramp. Please note that the lower parking area is not suitable for wheelchairs – guests are advised to drive past the main parking area to the deli, where our friendly staff will assist with parking close to the entrance.

Yes. Guests are welcome to connect to the complimentary WiFi available on the property.

Children

Is Dekkersvlei kid-friendly?

Yes. Children are welcome at Dekkersvlei. While there isn’t a dedicated play area, we do offer a fun tasting experience for kids.

Yes. Kids can enjoy a special tasting experience where they pair sweet treats with juice and ice tea.

Dekkersvlei kids’ pairing includes:

  • Red and white grape juice & ice tea.
  • KitKat, chocolate brownie & jelly tots.
