Food Suggestions:
A versatile companion to dishes like grilled chicken, lightly spiced Asian cuisine, and fresh salads with citrus or stone fruit. Its bright acidity pairs beautifully with seafood such as prawns, calamari, and creamy mussels, while the gentle fruit notes complement soft cheeses, mild curries, and dishes with a touch of sweetness or aromatic spice.
Vineyard:
Sourced from the Klein Drakenstein slopes in Paarl, rooted in structured clay-granite soils that enhance depth and balance.
Harvest:
The grapes were harvested in early February during the coolest parts of the day, with a combination of earlymorning picking and selective night harvesting to retain freshness. Grapes was hand-selected to ensure only the best bunches reached the cellar. The vineyard produces a focused yield of around 8 tons per hectare.
In the Cellar:
Grapes were gently whole-bunch pressed and slowly fermented to preserve fresh fruit and floral nuance. With no oak maturation, the wine remained bright and expressive, while extended lees contact added roundness, balance, and a softly textured palate.
